Alan is a graduate of Indiana University Business School with a B.S in Accounting. After graduation Alan worked for a regional CPA firm in Dallas, Texas for six years. After that, he worked six years for HIS, Inc. as Accounting Manager in charge of $120 million in warehouse and store inventories. In 1994, Alan returned to Indianapolis, Indiana as General Manager of Education Galore, a buyer of school supplies, for the next four years.
Alan entered the travel industry in 1998 as CFO of Ross & Babcock Travel. In 2002, he took on the added role of General Manager. In this position, Alan was responsible for overseeing corporate operations, leisure operations, human resources, accounting, IT, and GDS support as well as continuance of CFO duties. Alan maintained this role until the acquisition of Ross & Babcock Travel by The Travel Authority in 2005.
Alan currently works for The Travel Authority as Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations. This includes operational responsibility for all corporate call centers and client dedicated onsite operations. In addition Alan oversees operations for group, meeting, and incentive services travel department.
